Our company

History

1986 - 1989 Protection of wood as part of the former Collectivised Agricultural Production Community. Treatment of wooden trusses of several chateaus, churches and monasteries in Southern Moravia and Bohemia.
1989 - 2018 Private company Jan Novotný. Treatment of trusses of many private houses and apartment buildings, as well as a series of school buildings and churches all over the Czech Republic.

Specialization

We dedicate ourselves solely to elimination of wood-damaging pests and treatment of wood and wood trusses against these pests. We do not perform any roof building nor reconstrucion works. This enables us to concentrate on the special aspects of wood protection and pest elimination. We continually strive to provide state-of-the-art services based on professional knowledge.

Attitude

• We decide upon the exact way of wood treatment with respect to many sensitive factors and based on our long-term experience. The following aspects, among others, play an important role: The kind and degree of pest infection, humidity of the environment, age and kind of the wood, whether the wood was treated in the past (old paint and similar), location (areas with high occurrence of dry rot), etc. We care about the result.
• We use exclusively chemical agents certified by the Timber Institute s.e., by the government testing laboratory and by the main sanitarian of the Czech Republic.
• It is understood that we are punctual, explain the treatment process and answer all questions. It is possible to have a look at/during the treatment process.
• The treatment of trusses includes their substantial cleaning from the dust and dirt they had collected over many years. After the treatment, the truss construction is clean, has a renewed look and becomes well resistant against various kinds of pests for a long time ahead. This is one reason why we very much enjoy our work, another reason is the prolonged truss durability, which saves living trees in our forests.
